![]() I never used to believe in colour analysis. I never really understood how colour could improve your image. I am a however happy to admit I was wrong. After embracing the training and keeping an open mind here’s what I realised:
Your colour season determines which kind of colours harmonise with your features. This knowledge is a great benefit when creating your personal colour palette. But finding out which colour season you are can be tricky. (Colour Analysis done by a professional will help you determine your season) You have a natural colour palette, which is manifested in your skin, eyes and hair. The aim of colour analysis is to identify this natural colour palette and to match it to one of the four colour seasons. To understand seasonal colour analysis, we need to understand the aspects or dimensions of colour first. They are:
There are 4 main seasons- Autumn Spring Summer Winter Colours that are blue-based are classed as cool - the more blue, the cooler the colour. Yellow-based colours are warm. And warmer colours contain more yellow. Before I got my colours done– I thought, based on what I had read online that I was a certain season.
After having my colours professionally done, I discovered I was actually in a completely different season. Realising what colours are ‘cool’ and ‘warm’ has helped me stay more focused when looking for new clothes for my wardrobe, the biggest revelation for me was finding colours that make my skin look flawless, younger, and more awake without makeup on. That changed me from anti-colour analysis – to a believer.
